Hi, this site is a work in progress ... I keep adding to it as I find new information. Please look at the pages on top and all the links on the sidebar. At the bottom of the page are slide shows that I have made.

American Holidays and Celebrations

American Celebrations:

Americans love to celebrate.  They gather together on different holidays to share food, fellowship and sometimes exchange gifts and cards to show their love for each other.

Birthdays and Anniversaries are what I like to think of as "individual holidays", where the guest or guests of honor are family members and friends.  At a birthday party, there is usually a cake and gifts especially for the guest of honor, celebrating and remembering the day that the person was born.
